a sneek peek and few tips

I know I have been blogging few and far between but, I have busy! Busy doing things for Bella's Birthday party(and working my new job)... her theme is candy land.

Her is her demo invite* I made little changes to the actual invite such as I used ribbon and different font:
It's hard to read on purpose so you can't read the address but, the invites say: We think it would be just grand, if you helped us celebrate bella's 2nd birthday in candyland!

and the giant cotton candy i made... I got "snow blankets" (the white fluff they sell at Christmas to pout under your tree or Christmas villages) and turned it into cotton candy. I got the snow blanket for 90% off after Christmas!

I am going all out for both girls birthdays this year because, I am hoping this will be the start to my party planning business that will specialize in children's birthday party's. From invites to cakes and even cleaning up after the party. It will be a complete package. I am very excited about this!

And the very best part about planning a party in advance is... DEALS!  Knowing your theme in advance means your always on the look out and can find amazing deals!! The snow blanket for 90% off. I found candy land board games for ONE DOLLAR!!! I found candy shaped lip gloss for .10 cents, Candy shaped silly bands for a dollar a package! In the target dollar isles I found lime green and hot pink metal buckets that match the candy land theme and only cost $2.50! I also found tons of candy ornaments at target that are candys, lollipops, gum drops etc. that will also be used next year for a kids themed Christmas tree so it has double use!

Good-bye Mullet, Hello Miss. Adorable!

There once was a little girl with a mullet. It was all business in the front and party in the back for the wee tot. Her mommy hated her mullet. Her daddy loved her mullet. Her mommy took her to snip-it's and the mullet went bye-bye! Her daddy was sad. Her mommy was glad. But, they did agree they had one adorable little girl!

I must say snip-it's is well worth the cost. They have fun smelling shampoos, gave Bella a dum-dum lollipop as soon as she sat down, had an endless supply of animal crackers, had tons of toys for her to play with while we waited for her hair cut. Played her a movie while she got her hair cut (they offer video games for older kids) I have never seen her sit still and behave so well, I was so proud of her and the hair stylist there are pro's with kids! And at the end you take a lock of your hair and put it in the big prize machine and it gives you a prize!

When Roxy was little I never wanted to cut her hair she had such cute little curls. I learned my lesson the hard way! Her hair to this day at 6 still doesn't lay right and its cause I never cut her hair at a young age. Bella's dad was against me cutting it from the start! He loved her little mullet and I hated it! I want her to have long locks just like Rox (ha I rhymed) But, I want it to lay right. Also the stylist told me the more cuts you get lil girls in the beginning will help thicken up there hair, so that's good news cause, Bella's hair is very fine. So, it is a little short right now but, still enough to where I can give her the signature whale spot hair do ( high pony tail on top of her head) and lil piggy tails. And, I know I promised to show Bella's room but, the chandelier still isn't up so bare with me and as soon as I can find a ladder or a giant I will have a post for her and Roxy's room!

a big girl bed...

Bella my lil "munkey" was getting out of her crib. Before Christmas we bought her a toddler bed but, I couldn't bare to put it together. She climbed out of her crib the other night and decided it was time to let the crib go. The whole time I was putting it together I had tears. Bella is my last baby this was the last morning I would ever be able to get my baby out of her crib. I put it together and went and got her from daycare and I video taped her going into her room to see it. She LOVES IT! I am happy for her and I know she is getting bigger but, that makes me sad. I can remember bringing this 6 lb baby home from the hospital. She was so tiny in her car seat and now, its getting harder and harder to buckle Miss. Chunkers in her car seat. I am happy for her, I am so proud she's becoming such an amazing lil girl. Also, I am sad for me she is no longer my baby in two months she will be two she's a crazy, funny, lovable, happy toddler and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Here's the video, I apologize in advance for my voice sounding so crazy lol! And just pretend the Dyson isnt the 1st thing you see!

I am the proud mommy of a SMURF

I was dropping Bella off at day care this morning. She was really quite, I pulled into day care and opened Bella's door and I find my toddler BLUE. She had got into Roxy's purse which had a blue marker and colored herself blue.

sorry for the blurry pics all I had with me was my cell phone

sorry I haven't posted in a while I have been so busy since Christmas with family issues and just recovering from Christmas I still need to take down my Christmas tree today and put up Bella's toddler bed, finish painting her wall, clean house the list goes on and on. Hope everyone is having a good year so far! I will try to catch up later with all my updates over what has been happening!
