The title pretty much says it. 7 years ago today at exactly this time my water broke and 20 hours later i was graced with an amazing daughter, ROXY! I cant believe that seven years has come and gone. That seven years ago was the last time i felt her kick inside me but, Ive been able to hold her in my arms for so long yet seems like its happened so fast. I am so blessed to have such a great daughter. Shes helpful, kind, loving, understanding and so much more! I was very scared seven years ago today but, the second I held her it made it all worth wild! I love you very much Roxy Brianna! So happy pre birthday to one of the most amazing girls I know!

My Lil Daddy's Girl
Bella loves me but, she's a daddy's girl.
And there too cute when there together. She loves helping her daddy and she loves spending time with him. What ever her daddy is doing she wants to do too. I love these two!

The Sexy Silver Shoes
Every woman should have a pair of sexy shoes... that pair(s) of shoes that just make you feel unbelievable.
My pair are my sexy silver peep toes... Oh I love them so!
My pair are my sexy silver peep toes... Oh I love them so!
- For starters they make me taller and at 5'4" I need all the help I can get
- They sparkle and are glittery they make me feel like a princess and a sexy one at that lol
- These shoes make me feel like Jen, silly as it sounds it's important to feel like yourself. I always get stuck as Roxy's mommy or Bella's mommy. It's amazing to feel like Jen sometimes too!
- These shoes look just as good with jeans as they do my lil' black dress I wore them out with.
- I would wear these shoes a mile up hill, just to show them off
So tell me what are your sexy shoes, clothes and/or accessories that make you feel like YOU not some one's mommy!

Sick Happens...
I had such big plans for valentines day with my girls and needless to say it didn't happen. I had to take Roxy the emergency room for 103 fever that would not go down. So instead of seeing Gnomeo and Juliet we got to see a hospital bed and a doctor. But, even sick my girl is still stunning.
She did cheer up when she got her valentines gift. A purse with monkeys on it... very fitting for my fashion diva.
Since Roxy was sick I didn't get to make it to party city for the balloons to fill Bella's Room ( going to do that on her birthday now) but, she did get a lady bug pillow pet and LOVES it!
Now Roxy's feeling better guess who woke up sick this morning...
Me and Grady had valentines early and here is a picture of me from that night... It had been forever since I put a dress on, I even wore my gorgeous silver peep toe high heels but, those deserve a post all on there own!

i'll tell you if you promise not to tell....
Well i think my secret is safe with yall. I can't hold it in any longer I have to tell someone!!! I love surprises oh i love them soooo! But, for the life oh me when I plan something big I cant seem to keep my mouth shut!
I normally am not huge on valentines day seems just like a over rated Holiday. Someone shouldn't have a day set aside to tell people how much you care and love them. But, not this year cupid just have hit me hard (heheh) Cause, this year I am going all out of my lovies!!
Roxy and I are going out on a date. Just me and my fashion pal going to dinner and a movie. Gnomeo and Juliet... I CAN'T wait!!! I actually really wanna see this movie and most of all I wanna spend some time with my Roxy!
On Monday morning and I am going to fill Bella's room with balloons (shes in a balloon faze and LOVES balloons) I also got her a lady bug pillow pet.
Now, on to Bella's Daddy... we got him something super special. I made a hardbound photo album for him of Bella's pictures... starting with ultrasound pictures all the way to pictures of her last weekend. Hope he loves it as much as I loved making it.
I will defiantly be updating with some pics come Tuesday! Have a great weekend!!

My Fashionista
Roxy is my girly-girly and hence why she's going to have a fashion party for her birthday in May. Which is going to include a cat walk so she and her friends can show off the rhinestone shirts there going to make. I bought black canvas bags at hobby lobby (I LOVE YOU HOBBY LOBBY AND YOUR 50% OFF) and fill them with goodies like you would get at new york fashion week (there's will include bead necklace making kits, blinged out rhinestone flip-flops, bath wash and girly pink bath puff, lip gloss, nail polish and ring pops!) I got some hounds tooth print iron-ons and am going to put each girls initial on the front and a pink bow on the side. I am really excited for her cause this is something she loves! She got a kids sewing machine for Christmas and has been sketching her own fashion ideas!

a sneek peek and few tips
I know I have been blogging few and far between but, I have busy! Busy doing things for Bella's Birthday party(and working my new job)... her theme is candy land.
Her is her demo invite* I made little changes to the actual invite such as I used ribbon and different font:
It's hard to read on purpose so you can't read the address but, the invites say: We think it would be just grand, if you helped us celebrate bella's 2nd birthday in candyland!
and the giant cotton candy i made... I got "snow blankets" (the white fluff they sell at Christmas to pout under your tree or Christmas villages) and turned it into cotton candy. I got the snow blanket for 90% off after Christmas!
I am going all out for both girls birthdays this year because, I am hoping this will be the start to my party planning business that will specialize in children's birthday party's. From invites to cakes and even cleaning up after the party. It will be a complete package. I am very excited about this!
And the very best part about planning a party in advance is... DEALS! Knowing your theme in advance means your always on the look out and can find amazing deals!! The snow blanket for 90% off. I found candy land board games for ONE DOLLAR!!! I found candy shaped lip gloss for .10 cents, Candy shaped silly bands for a dollar a package! In the target dollar isles I found lime green and hot pink metal buckets that match the candy land theme and only cost $2.50! I also found tons of candy ornaments at target that are candys, lollipops, gum drops etc. that will also be used next year for a kids themed Christmas tree so it has double use!

Good-bye Mullet, Hello Miss. Adorable!
There once was a little girl with a mullet. It was all business in the front and party in the back for the wee tot. Her mommy hated her mullet. Her daddy loved her mullet. Her mommy took her to snip-it's and the mullet went bye-bye! Her daddy was sad. Her mommy was glad. But, they did agree they had one adorable little girl!
I must say snip-it's is well worth the cost. They have fun smelling shampoos, gave Bella a dum-dum lollipop as soon as she sat down, had an endless supply of animal crackers, had tons of toys for her to play with while we waited for her hair cut. Played her a movie while she got her hair cut (they offer video games for older kids) I have never seen her sit still and behave so well, I was so proud of her and the hair stylist there are pro's with kids! And at the end you take a lock of your hair and put it in the big prize machine and it gives you a prize!
When Roxy was little I never wanted to cut her hair she had such cute little curls. I learned my lesson the hard way! Her hair to this day at 6 still doesn't lay right and its cause I never cut her hair at a young age. Bella's dad was against me cutting it from the start! He loved her little mullet and I hated it! I want her to have long locks just like Rox (ha I rhymed) But, I want it to lay right. Also the stylist told me the more cuts you get lil girls in the beginning will help thicken up there hair, so that's good news cause, Bella's hair is very fine. So, it is a little short right now but, still enough to where I can give her the signature whale spot hair do ( high pony tail on top of her head) and lil piggy tails. And, I know I promised to show Bella's room but, the chandelier still isn't up so bare with me and as soon as I can find a ladder or a giant I will have a post for her and Roxy's room!

a big girl bed...
Bella my lil "munkey" was getting out of her crib. Before Christmas we bought her a toddler bed but, I couldn't bare to put it together. She climbed out of her crib the other night and decided it was time to let the crib go. The whole time I was putting it together I had tears. Bella is my last baby this was the last morning I would ever be able to get my baby out of her crib. I put it together and went and got her from daycare and I video taped her going into her room to see it. She LOVES IT! I am happy for her and I know she is getting bigger but, that makes me sad. I can remember bringing this 6 lb baby home from the hospital. She was so tiny in her car seat and now, its getting harder and harder to buckle Miss. Chunkers in her car seat. I am happy for her, I am so proud she's becoming such an amazing lil girl. Also, I am sad for me she is no longer my baby in two months she will be two she's a crazy, funny, lovable, happy toddler and I wouldn't want it any other way!
Here's the video, I apologize in advance for my voice sounding so crazy lol! And just pretend the Dyson isnt the 1st thing you see!
I officially did finish her room so tomorrow's post will be a tour of Bella's new room!

It's beginning to look a lot like... I am way to busy
I am feeling WAY under the weather! So if this post doesn't flow or make much sense then let's just blame the fact I can't breath out of my nose, my body aches, and my heads pounding.
This weekend was busy on Saturday my cousin Stephanie and her graduation lunch and it was so good. Bass Pro shop has an amazing restaurant! Then it was off to shopping to finish up the kids Christmas gifts. It seems to be never ending it's like every weekend there's shopping to do! On Sunday I took the kids to a Christmas party. Bella hates Santa but loves gifts! She was so cute she kept running around with her gift and spinning around! I love how sweet Roxy can be with her little sister and how cute they are when Bella sits on Roxy's lap!
I have sooooo much to do the next 12 days every single day I have something planned to do or somewhere to be. This week involves getting Christmas pictures taken, doctor visits, painting, cleaning and decorating. And next week is going to be a hundred times busier. I have to cook, clean, wrap, and put together toys! I did plan my Christmas dinner menu though. I wanted to do something different so this year I am making: Apricot/Pomegranate Glazed Cornish Hens, Creamed Spinach, Roasted Hazelnut Green Beans, Potato Fennel Gratin, Homemade Rolls, Wild Mushroom Soup, Raspberry Chocolate truffle tarts, Mini Key lime Tarts and Mini Cheesecake Tarts. Along with crab cakes, artichoke dip, stuffed mushrooms and tomato mozzarella pesto stacks. So next week I will be busy baking and cooking!
I hope every one has a great week with so much planned I don't know how many post I will be doing but, I will post tomorrow our Christmas tree as promised and this week Bella's room will be finished once I paint the wall so I will post that too! Have a great Monday and I hope no one catches whatever I have it's horrid!

I dunno if I am proud of myself or ashamed
Roxy has been wanting the dip n dots frozen ice cream maker. To be honest I was almost as excited as she was when I saw this, what's better then having your favorite ice cream treat at home and not having to go to the mall just so you can get your dippin dots fix? I knew it was one her Christmas list of things to get and for some reason every time I went to the store it slipped my mind and they HAD tons of them. Had being past tense. I finally got my bootie into gear and decided to finish up there gifts and I went to toys r us they were sold out, target sold out, walmart sold out even on line it was SOLD OUT! I wan angry at myself for not getting it when I saw it. Until today I ran into walmart to get a couple of items and there it was starring me in the face. A lone dippin dots maker. I started walking faster and faster to get it and this lady just coast by and picks it up... I decided then that I wasn't going to let this go down without a "fight". So I walked by real quick and said "oh is there a 1 800 number on the box I already bought two of these and they don't work and I can't find our box" she looked at me and said oh two wow that's not good telling me her son wanted one but, she wasn't going to get if they had problems and sat it down and walked off... So needless to say I got the dip n dot maker and yes, I know karma is going to come down and Roxy's dip n dots maker won't work...Shame on me or applaud I haven't decided yet :)

Say it isn't so!
I got some heart breaking news over the weekend! Roxy informed me Santa is NOT real. There just adults dressing up like him and pretending and elves aren't real either. Parents are just buying the gifts for kids! My heart sank,a tear rolled down my cheek and I had a horrible lump in my throat that prevented me from making a sound.
Now, I know Santa isn't real. But, the magic of believing in him is! I think I am more upset that Roxy is 6 and already finding this out. I was hoping she would like 16 before this moment happened! There is something so special about believing in Santa and his elves working that even as a grown adult with two kids I love to cherish.
Roxy promised that she would keep this secret to her self and not ruin the joy for her sister and lil cousin. But, this just means my "baby" is getting bigger and smarter and that there is one less thing holding her to child hood. One less magic moment. She seemed ok with this which surprised me, when i realized Santa wasn't real I was tears and i also almost ten! She sat there content and wise. Telling me "she knew for some time" (some time being like 2 days in her world) I just hope she keeps the "magic" part of Santa alive in her heart and that her sister waits til she's 16 to realize this whole "mystery"
Oh, and I dunno if I said this in my last blog or not but, I GOT THE JOB! I am sure excited I start the beginning of January!

A new years goal starting before the new year
![]() |
| I stole these pics from my wonderful cousins blog... Thanks for taking amazing photos Stephanie. |
As a mom I have a flaw, well I am sure I have many but, this is a flaw I am actually admitting to and trying to work on. I never ever ever remember to take my camera with me anywhere! It's horrible! I have hundreds and hundreds of pics and videos saved on my cell phone but, actual really good photos are few and far between. So my new goal starting now is to carry my camera in my purse or Bella's diaper bag and take photo's of our memories big and small! We are almost done decorating our Christmas tree so I will be taking some pics for sure of that with the girls finishing it up. Bella's already broken one so at this rate by Christmas day we should have 25 less ornaments or she could stop touching and pulling them off. I think the 25 less ornaments is going to win!

shopping shopping shopping!
Roxy and me had a mommy and me spa day on Wednesdays. Bella was at day care so me and Roxy had some fun. We did face masks and put cucumber on our eyes, make-up, and painted our nails! We had a blast! I asked Roxy what she was thankful for, she said her mommy, Bella, maw-maw (what she calls my mom) and other family members, and then yelled I am thankful for the Indians and pilgrims cause if they wouldn't have gotten along we might not have make-up and nail polish... I guess that's one way to look at it!
This long weekend has been long! After Thanksgiving I decided it was time to get some serious Christmas shopping done. So Friday morning before the sun even thought of coming out me and my mom where off shopping. I must say some places had some amazing deals other, where big let downs! I didn't think target and walmart's sales were too amazing. JC Penny's had some great door busters, all there boots where 29.99 or less, my mom three great pairs normally over a hundred each for just 25. I was able to knock off must of the girls Christmas gifts, there are just a couple of things I still need to pick up but, nothing big. I still need to hurry up and go get there Christmas pictures done. Seems like time is going faster and my to-do list is getting longer.
Me and my mom took the girls to the Rain Forest Cafe. They loved it! Roxy walked around and looked at everything and had a blast! Bella sat in her high chair and had the time of her life pointing and looking at everything. Def. a must go place if you have kids, or even if you don't!
I have a job interview tomorrow for a floral shop. I am really hoping I get this job. Finger's crossed! The hours are pretty good too. Work three days during the week and on Saturday.
Bella still has not been sleeping thru the night... She knows how to get out of her crib so it looks like its time for a toddler bed but, she doesn't sleep thru so I have a feeling someone will be getting up and playing in the middle of the night.
Roxy wasn't looking forward to school this morning, she wanted to stay home. She kept telling me her stomach hurt... I hope she was just wanting to stay home. Nothing is worse then getting a call from the school nurse when your child is sick and you told them to stop faking.
And normally I post pictures of the girls but, today I am posting pics of myself. Since Roxy's at school and Bella's at day care I am declaring today Mommy Day! So that means after I get off here I need to clean bedrooms, do laundry, put the pot roast in the crock pot and get dressed for work. Wow so much fun on mommy day.

so thankful!
With Thanksgiving coming up I wanted to take a moment and say what I am thankful for. This week is going to be busy so I wanted to do it now just in case I don't get around to do it on Thursday.
I am thankful for my two gorgeous girls. They are so amazing! Roxy and Bella are truly gifts from God. And I thank him every day that I got blessed with them both!
My Mom, she is amazing mother who is caring and so helpful. She is always there for the girls and I and I proud to get to say I am her daughter.
My family, they are truly great and I am thankful for each and every one of them.
My friends, who are always there when I need them and always willing to listen!
There are tons of more things I am thankful for but, these are the people that I hold close in my heart and I wanted to take a moment for them. I am truly blessed even though I don't always seem to realize that. I think this is why Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday. It's not about gifts it's about being thankful for what you already have. And I am very thankful! What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

There are tons of more things I am thankful for but, these are the people that I hold close in my heart and I wanted to take a moment for them. I am truly blessed even though I don't always seem to realize that. I think this is why Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday. It's not about gifts it's about being thankful for what you already have. And I am very thankful! What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?
